From Salida- Take Hwy 50 southeast 12 miles to Howard.The turnoff is 1/2 mile east of the Broken Arrow Cafe.

From Canon City - Take Hwy 50 northwest 45 miles to Howard. The turnoff is 3 miles west of the Howard Sign.

The turnoff is not marked. There is a small white building and a blank white sign on the river side of the highway. Turn in here, go down the hill. The cabin is the first property on the left. Drive around and park in the front parking area. If you have an boat or trailer please park these in the upper-side parking area.
